Overview
PIA-W-4088K / 27265D Type 7 is a high-tensile flat nylon webbing, commonly used for belts, harness straps, load-bearing systems, suspension straps and industrial restraint applications.
Compared to tubular parachute webbing (such as 5625 spec), Type 7 is designed as a flat-strap structural webbing — offering lower stretch, higher surface stability and better comfort when used in belts and harness structures. This webbing combines controlled elongation, strong edge integrity and high breaking strength, making it a preferred material for safety belts, commercial harness manufacturing, load-bearing backpack belts, and equipment restraint systems.

Key Features
-
Designed for belts & harness use
Stable width, controlled elongation, no tubular hollow, ideal for waist and shoulder load transfer. -
High tensile strength ≥6000 lbs
Suitable for heavy-duty retention, restraint and industrial-rated support straps. -
Shuttle-loom woven for edge durability
Compact yarn density prevents fraying or edge collapse under repeated tension. -
Custom treatment available
Optional IRR, flame-retardant, abrasion-resistant finish and color matching for production programs. -
Competitive vs Western mills
Same spec equivalency, lower procurement cost, reliable lead-time and batch traceability.
